Can TDS CERTIFICATE BE ISSUED For rent due from 14-3-10 to 15-04-10 , FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2009-10 ON FULL RENT OF ONE MONTH (i.e. 14-3-10 to 15-04-2010) although rent due partly in the current FY.Actual payment of rent for the above period made on10-6-2010 .Whether rent from 1-4-10 to 15-04-10 is to be debited to P/L a/c in the FY 2009-10? Please respond it as soon as possible.

Rent related from 1/4/2010 to 15/04/2010 can not be debited to P/L a/c for the F.Y.2009-10.
TDS liability on rent from 01/04/2010 to 15/04/2010 will arise in F.Y.2009-10 ONLY if payment has been made in advance in F.Y.2009-10 AND then TDS Certificate has to be issued otherwise no certificate to be issued.
