10 September 2011 if you are paying rent for a flat which is not in same city where your own flat

13 September 2011 If you taken the accommodation on rent then you have to calculate HRA deduction otherwise not. If you stay in your own house then HRA is fully taxable.

If you are living in your own house than you can not claim HRA. But if you are living in rented house and your own house is in an other city than you can claim HRA
