16 June 2013 hello sir,currently I am doing my articleship of 1st year and my principal is not allowing transfer at any cost so, to get transfer I am going to decide to shif to ( not my parents but Iam alone ) my village so,in this case if I get transfer then then Is there is any condition or rule that I have to do rest of the articleship period in my village or I can do from any part of the India.

16 June 2013 1)you cant do any thing with out principal consent..as it is the only obstacle and mandatory requiremnet to take transfer articleship during 1st year.

2)yes..what ever reason u say to your boss and leave from him as long as you are in 1st year of article ship where as once you have entered into 2nd year of article ship prior approval from ICAI is mandatory which is long and typical process.

3)see no restrictions for transfer of article ship in 1st year of article ship..you say some convincing story to him and leave from him..as we don't need provide any reason to ICAI during 1st year of articleship..later you can join any where even next to your boss office.
