26 July 2009 Mr. "X" is a director in a public listed company(Y), his wife is a director in another public limited company(Z) which is unlisted. There is a contract between these two companies. Mr."X" does not hold any shares in the other company(Z) where his wife is a director. Mrs.X(wife of X) holds shares in the company(Y) where Mr.X is a director.
Does it come under the purview of related party disclosure?
What would be the case if Z is private company?

29 July 2009 Kindly be specific in ur query. From ur query I find it is related to AS-18. it will not fall under related party transaction and it is not affected whether co. is public or private
