11 January 2012 Can anyone tell me what is the procedure for regn of sole proprietorship with the Govt (municipality)....

PAN in the name of individual sole proprietor is sufficient nah?

Do we need to obtain TAN???

11 January 2012 Municipal body issue "certificate of establishment (trade licence)" for any business establishment,

you have to provide them, address proof, copy of municipal tax receipt, with rent receipt ( if applicable), and a letter stating the name and address of proprietor.

they may provide you a form to fill and sign, stating the principal work of business organisation. and after completion they will issue a trade licence, which is renewable yearly.
