28 August 2013 what is the basic exemption limit for registration under central excise? Also please tell that such exemption limit is premises based or is for the organization as a whole ?

28 August 2013 SSI exemption is available to all unit upto 1.5cr. All sister cons-urn unit will be clubed for ssi exemption.

28 August 2013 if the excercisable goods are transferred among the two premises of same organisation what are the implications of excise under inter-connected units or branch transfer? please help

28 August 2013 If a manufacturer of the final products shifts his factory to another site or the factory is transferred on account of change in ownership or on account of sale, merger, amalgamation, lease or transfer of the factory to a joint venture with the specific provision for transfer of liabilities of such factory, then, the manufacturer shall be allowed to transfer the CENVAT credit lying unutilized in his accounts to such transferred, sold, merged, leased or amalgamated factory under rule 10 of cenvat credit rules 2004.
