03 June 2014 I want to start a new proprietorship firm providing services of web development what should i do to register the firm so that i can start invoicing with firm name ?

03 June 2014 For proprietary concern, generally no specific registration is required.But for opening of current accounts Banks are insisting such registration with any Government authorities. The options available are : 1. Labor license or2. Trade license with Municipal or Panchayath.The Third one is Service Tax registration, but unless the Gross receipts are expected to be morethan Rs.9.00 lakhs in a year,it is not advisable to go for Service Tax registration.
You can opt for labor licence or Trades/Establishments registration depending on the location of your office.
