30 August 2013 Sir,
While i try to register my self with Traces, token / PRN number for FY 2011-12 Q1 is mandatory field i have to fill. unfortunately i don't have PRN for the said period even i have filled E tds return.
In this situation,
1. Is there any chance to register without required specific PRN?.
2. Is there way option to get the particular PRN by using TAN, ( i don't know the exact date and NSDL agent who filed the e-tds return for that period).
3. Should i issue form 16A by downloaded from Traces or can manually.

01 September 2013 PRN is compulsory for TRACES registration. Even though you dont know the exact date of filing, you may contact the TIN-FC where you have filed ETDS, they can get the PRN Number. But for Registration after filing a current year TDS i.e 2012-13, you may be asked the current recently filed PRN only. So you may register with that. But for Form16A downloading you must enter the particular Quarter's PRN and Challan and PAN details. So it is better to know that PRN you missed. For FY 2011-12 being a Non-banking and Non-Corporate Deductor, it is not mandatory to issue TRACES Form16A. But for FY 2012-13 it is mandatory for all deductors to issue TRACES Form16A.
