registration for second plant(only for store,not for mfg

22 March 2010 Dear all

we have a manufacturing exporting unit
we are having the excise retistration

we want to take another plant on rent on the other side of our plant

we want to use it as raw material store purpose

have to take the new registration for this plant

or present plants registration is sufficient for the second plant which is near the present plant

my second query is that

we have corporate office other than our maufacturing plant.have we to take the excise registration for our corporate office

pls advise

28 March 2010 1) another plant is treated as separate factory and require to register with ce autorities.
2) there is no need to register corporate office with c.excise

we have one manufacturing plant having all the registration.There is space problem in the plant for offices and for storage of raw material and finish goods.

we want to take another building on rent which is aprox 100 mtr away from our manufacturing plant and want to keep our offices and raw material store/finish goods store on our rented plant

we also want to transfer some assembling machines in this plant

manufacturing and despathc will be from our main plant

have we to take registration or not ??

07 April 2010 firstly u have to take the permission from central excise autorities for extension according to ce rules.secondly for extension area is treated as separate factory for ce rules.i think u have to take new registration no for extension area.also confirm from authorities.
