Sir
My company is a manufacturer of leather bags and wallet and it is an SSI unit also.
In this fy13-14 up to August23 it's turnover of leather goods export crosses 1 crore 30 lacs.
Please advise that SHOULD WE TAKE REGISTRATION UNDER CENTRAL EXCISE ACT WHEN IT'S TURNOVER WILL CROSS 1.50 CRORE?

Export turnover will not be count in SSI exemption. Only domestic sale will be count for 1.5cr.

Yes i agree with the expert. You have not mentioned about the local domestic clearance value.
As per the provisions, once you cross a turnover of one crore (90L above) you have to inform the range superintendent. Be in touch with the excise range.

Domestic sale turnover up to 23rd Aug, is 7 (Seven )Lac only.
Therefore, our export turnover 1.30 Crore and domestic turnover is 7 Lac = Total Leather goods manufacturing sales turnover is 1Cr37Lac. and we are an SSI Unit.
