would like to know WHEN would i be eligible to apply for service tax number, when i provide taxable service or raise bill, if my value of taxable services in the first year exceeds 10 lakhs ?

You need to take S.Tax No. when gross value of taxable service so provided exceeds Rs.9 lakhs..
