06 June 2017 dear sir, we have 2 firms. one is registered under service tax and the other under vat. it is a proprietor firm and hence one pan no.
since we did our gst registraion for our vat company.
what to do reg our firm under service tax.
pls help and guide.

08 June 2017 No separate migration is allowed. In case if you have filled the detail of service tax number in your migration application filled for provisional id issued by VAT dept., it will take note of it and any credit in Service tax return will be allowed for carried forward.

08 June 2017 yes, but the 2 firms are doing separate business, with different name. then how to proceed

08 June 2017 On one PAN only one migration in one State is allowed. Wait for implementation date. Thereafter you can apply for the other firm if it fulfill the criteria of different business vertical.
