15 December 2012 My client is a manufacturing concern, purchasing some materials for manufacturing purpose. he also suggest to vendor that logo of such manufacturer should also be printed on that buying goods.

vendor raised bill along with logo printing on same invoice.

i want to know whether TDS ought to be deducted on such bill.

whether TDS ought to be deducted on total invoice amount or on only logo printing charges.

16 December 2012 Please make a strong request for separate bill for Logo in order to turn off any doubt or risk.

16 December 2012 BILL SHOULD BE FOR MATERIAL INCLUDING LOGO. NO SEPARATE BILL FOR LOGO AND HENCE NO TDS.

17 December 2012 Mr.Basu, There shall be TDS liability on Manufacturer ,if the logo printing charges is seperate element in bill.

Client need to Deduct TDS on service portion only _ i.e Logo printing charges.

17 December 2012 IF THE GOODS IS PURCHASED FOR MANUFACTURING PROCESS THERE SHALL BE NO TDS. IT IS IMMATERIAL WHETHER IT CONTAINS LOGO OR NOT.
