Is it compulsory to recive stipend in bank account from pricipal

I personally suggest that stipend should be received in Bank Account or through Account Payee Cheque.
There is no such rule, but it is safe for both article and principal.
So, opt for direct credit to account or account payee cheque instead of cash.
