I want to know about SSI registration process if applicable for CAB OPERATORS.

If not, I have need the explaination which has to supporatable to convey our client.

Please do the needful

22 November 2012 Dear Bhagyesh

After the introduction of Negative list, the cab service is exempted from service tax. Clause (O) of the negative list deals with the same.
However if you are renting the motor vehicle then service tax shall apply. In this case you have the choice either to take the abatement and not pay service tax or do not take abatement and pay 60% of service tax.
