Regarding quiz income

How will we consider the income from Quiz TV program? will it be Other source(normal Slab) or special income(direct 30% like winning from horse race, betting and gambling)???

Whats the TDS effect pertaining to it?

14 March 2012 For the recipient, it is "Income from other sources". Its the onus of the TV program and not the recipient to deduct TDS. It will deduct TDS @ 30% u/s 194B of the IT Act provided the amount exceeds Rs 10000/-.
