My Question is :-
Mr.Alok Sharma Marriage with Rekha Prashar
after marriage she become Rekha Sharma
while applying for opening bank account does it required to change in her PAN Card Mrs. Rehka Prashar is it necessary

11 June 2012 there is many things which is very important while changes in pan

first if you are changing PAN with Sharma then make sure that any cheque or any amount will not be come after changing PAN data

or if yes then first change surname in every documents of her where its require and then change or open a/c with sharma ok.

if you opened account with sharma and any amount will come after then what will you do ? its really problematic

but its is necessary to change her name after marriage because after her name her husband name is require

11 June 2012 as you said about investment in her old name rekha prashar
sir can i open bank account with name Rekha SHarma and given PAN No. of Rekha Parashar

11 June 2012 if you have already pan of rekha prashar then it will be same pan with doing correction after marriage

i.e change with husband name against father and also surname

there is no problem with that but real thing is when you received you investment back or after claiming you will be received cheque or anything with name of rekha prashar then bank will not credit with difference and you may have to faced many difficulties. so first changed your name in where you have invested and also other also then apply for opening new a/c

or if you have already a/c name of rekha prashar then don't closed or change it will be use for investment purpose

i think its upto you how you deal with this
