Regarding notice for outstanding demand

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
A taxpayer filed their Income Tax Return (ITR) under the new tax regime but received a notice for outstanding tax demand. The tax was calculated using the old regime, and the taxpayer claimed no deductions. The issue appears to be related to not filing Form 10E before the ITR submission, which is required to claim benefits under the new tax regime. The taxpayer is seeking advice on how to rectify this, including the possibility of filing a revised return.

25 March 2022 I have filled my ITR according to new tax regime but after processing I have got a notice for outstanding tax demand as the tax was calculated using old tax regime and I have filled no deductions.
Please help me correct it.

25 March 2022 You were required to file Form 10E before the filing of the Income Tax Return to take the benefit of new tax regime.

In my opinion now you wont be able to get the benefit

27 March 2022 Can’t I file a revised return??
