Regarding cheque bouncing

If a person has given cheque in 2012 then cheque has bounce due to insufficient fund.
Today, I want to take resonable step.
Please guide me procedue of take reasonable steps.
Please suggest me for take resonable steps for recover such amount.
Total amount is Rs. 1378645/-00

Just hire a lawyer and he will file a suit in court of law for same.
