refusal to speed post of ITR -V

11 February 2011 Sir, postoffices refuse to speed post the ITR-V envelop as address of Banglore is written Post Bag No-1, they claim it can not be speed posted becuase of written Post Bag No.1, Is any circular favouring it so that can be shown to postoffices.

11 February 2011 It is mentioned in incometax website---

See Point no 18 of---Dos and Dont's for printing and submitting of ITR-Vs to
ITD-CPC Bangalore

It says---
The ITR-V form is required to be sent to Post Bag No.1, Electronic City Post Office, Bengaluru, Karnataka-560100, by ordinary post or speedpost.

11 February 2011 But Sir, still Post Offices refuses the same , they accept only there circular saying speed post can not be done to a address written Post Bag No-1. Is any clarification from Indian Post Department.

11 February 2011 yes this problem is being faced by one and all and the postal department is not accepting the same to be speed post. So send by ordinary post only.
