We have selected ECS Option for Refund while filing ITR..But then also department send refund cheque for refund. AC Number, MICR IFSC and BSR Code are also correctky provided.. Then also department not direct credit to the account ???? Now What to do ??

Once you have received the refund it is better to en-cash it without going in any controversy. Yes you are right that once you opt for direct credit then the department should have followed the instruction.

The imp thing is you are recieving the refund so better you encash as suggested by sir.
