19 November 2013 I have a proprietorship registered for providing Event Management services in which I am providing 1. Manpower & 2.Security services.

Kindly confirm me that whether I have the amend ST-1 to add following services.
AND
make the Invoices as per partial reverse charges under services tax.

19 November 2013 Dear Sir,

The nature of service provided by you do not comes under the ambit of 'Event Management Service'. You are required to get ST-2 amended by filing amended ST-1.

You can prepare invoice as per partial reverse charge mechanism even now as well. As depositing service tax under wrong category, does not mean that service tax liability is to be discharged again as laid down in the case of Katrina Kaif (film Actress) vs. Commissioner of Service Tax Mumbai- I, the Hon’ble CESTAT (Mumbai Bench) vide order no. A/670/2012/CSTB/C-I, Appeal No. ST/387/2011, dated 09.10.2012 {2012(12) TMI 579- CESTAT- MUMBAI.

But amend ST 2 as early as possible.
