19 May 2010 We have filed income tax returns and claimed TDS of Rs. 77741/- for the A.Y. 2008-09. Further we have received the intimation u/s 143(1) that they have not given the credit of the TDS. We wrote a letter claiming the TDS credit as well filed the original TDS certificates actual TDS is Rs. 80135/- but in the return of income we have claimed that as Rs. 77741/-. Further NSDL also says that Rs. 80135/- is the full credit avaiable to us. but the department says that we will give the credit of Rs. 77741/- kindly give me the remedy for the above.

21 May 2010 You could revise your return up to 31.03.2010 but the above date has been lapsed therefore now you cannot revise your return.

Boss no remedy is avaailable.

Also you cannot go for 154 because no mistakes apparents from record.

You can only pray to AO that I have inadverently written 77741/- instead of 80135/-
