Raw material entry

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
A restaurant owner registered for GST is seeking guidance on how to record raw material purchases such as flour, oil, and vegetables in Tally. The advice provided suggests creating a 'Food & Beverages' ledger under the purchase group. Options range from a single ledger for all items (easy but less control) to separate ledgers for each item type, or maintaining inventory-wise accounts with individual item creation for better control.

05 June 2021 You have the following options
1) You can enter all food items under one head without maintaining inventory. It is easy to make entry but less control
2) You can different food items in different ledger which means for each type of food item there is a ledger.
3) You can maintain inventory wise accounts creating different items under single ledger. Proper control but comparatively difficult to pass entries. In this for every new item new item will have to be created in tally.
