16 December 2013 In the case of accidental car repairing what is the ratio of vat and service tax will be charged on total amount.

16 December 2013 there is nothing called ratio but u need to apply specific rates eg for service tax u need to apply 12.36% incld cess.

16 December 2013 Please solve it--If a car accident and it came for service in XYZ company, company provides service as per detail:

Labour & service: Denting & painting=3200, Petrol/Diesel=1200

Labour & services include petrol and paint cost on which vat is applicable, so total amount of labour and service include both service tax and vat, so please define the what percentage of service tax and vat charged on total amount of labour and service.

16 December 2013 Vat is to be provided only on items which u sale or make replacement of any part of car.

and servcie tax only on service component you have provided.
