23 July 2011 RA means running account. As most of construction contract are for a long period, so in contract there is a clause that paymrnt shall be made stage wise complerion of work, to avoid liquidity problem to contracor. Contractor raise bill for work done upto particular stage, to get the payment. These bills are called RA BILLS.
