17 December 2012 sir....can any one help me for this case..ABC is Some private ltd Company.Mr X is the auditor of abc pvt ltd.in which Mrs X WAS one of the director.my Doubt is , is mr x can sign on the balance sheet of abc pvt ltd...

19 December 2012 In this case, Mr. X is not suffering from any disqualifications u/s 226 of the Companies Act, 1956. So,he can sign the balance sheet of ABC Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. X is the auditor of ABC Pvt Ltd.
Mrs. X, presumably his wife, was one of the directors of the company.
According to Section 226 of the Companies Act, 1956, disqualifications for an auditor to sign the balance sheet mainly include relationships or interests that might affect the auditor's independence or create conflicts of interest.

Since Mrs. X was a director earlier but is no longer one at the time of signing, Mr. X is not disqualified from signing the balance sheet.

Summary:

If Mrs. X is not currently a director at the time of audit and signing, Mr. X can sign the balance sheet.
If Mrs. X were a current director, Mr. X would be disqualified as auditor due to close relation.
So here, Mr. X can sign the balance sheet of ABC Pvt Ltd.
