26 September 2012 i am a ca student who had recently cleared my ipcc(both groups) in first attempt..i have started my articleship in my own town i.e. amritsar(punjab)...i want to ask which course should i join alongwith ca to improve my skills and even to secure my future well..i would be thankful to you if you advice me wheather mba in correspondence is beneficial or not??

27 September 2012 Many congrats for clearing both groups in first attempt....
as per your interest CS or Cost accountant will be the best option you have coz that will indirect help you in preparing for CA Final also...
MBA correspondence is not a good option it won't create much value addition to you knowledge....

28 September 2012 what is your plan. if you want to start your own practice in your home town than mba or cs will not help.. better you do articleship properly and start making the contacts from now only. speak to your clients frequently, maintain healthy relationship with them and do the articleship perfectly. mostly in small cities taxation is something where you need to be expert. therfore enhance you knowledge of direct tax and indirect taxes. else icwa would be good.
