what is the difference between when resolution pass by postal ballot and by poll

“Postal Ballot” means casting of votes by shareholders by postal or electronic mode
instead of voting personally by being present for transacting business in a general
meeting of the company.
Before or on the declaration of the result of the voting on any resolution on show of hands, a poll may be ordered to be taken by the Chairman of the meeting. Shareholders are required to be presonally present for casting vote which not the case in voting by postal ballot
