i have a querry about the tds section, my friend's father retired his job last month and he is also getting the pension, he retired from railway department and railway sending his pension directly his bank account and bank deduct the tds but bank is not giving the tds certificate and it is not filled the tds return, and when we ask the bank, bank told to us that is u r not the bank employee and in which section we deposited your tds plz tell me that in which section our tds has been filled while he has been railway employee

15 July 2011 He is Railway department than TDs will be deducted by them only, how can bank will deduct TDS..The pension sent to bank after deducted TDS by railway department... Just ask the concern person of Railway department...
If your bank employee than they will deduct TDS, other wise they don't have rights to deduct the same...
