Q99-General Queries other than above

This query is : Resolved

05 April 2022 My father had purchased some shares in the 70's and 80"s the purchase price of which are not known today. Needless to say they were in physical mode. Were dematted once the demat process was introduced.

Due to various reasons my father changed his dp on multiple occasions and the shares were transferred from one demat to another (All demat in his name).

Consequent to his demise the shares were transmitted to my demat account.

Suppose if i sell the shares today how will LTCG be calculated

05 April 2022 If possible get 70's and 80's price and deduct it as purchase cost.
