12 August 2025 To change the name on your Maharashtra Professional Tax Enrollment Certificate (PTEC), follow these steps:
Steps for Name Change in Maharashtra PTEC:
Visit the Maharashtra Professional Tax Department Portal:
Go to the official Maharashtra PTEC portal: https://mahavat.gov.in or the relevant local tax department site.
Download the Application Form for Name Change:
Look for the form related to "Amendment in Enrollment" or "Name Change Application".
Usually, it is called something like Form PT-04 or Form for correction/amendment.
Fill the Application Form:
Fill in the details accurately.
Attach supporting documents like:
Proof of new name (e.g., legal name change document, partnership deed, certificate of incorporation, or any other relevant document)
Copy of existing PTEC
PAN card or other ID proofs
Submit the Application:
Submit the application either online via the portal or physically at the local Professional Tax office.
