Provision for diminuition in value of current investment

If provision for diminution in the value of the current investment is debited in the statement of profit and loss, will it be disallowed while making computation of taxable, and if yes, under what section?

Since Investment in Market Linked Product are subject to Market Risk & Valuation and all increase and decrease should be taken into account and Debited/Credited to Profit and Loss Accounts.
