Dear Freinds . I have one dobut regarding structring salary under PF Act . Is there any limit like e.g 50 % of salary should be basic salary , remaining can be paid by way of allowances in PF or in any other act . Please help me with some case laws if possible .

There is no such guideline or rule to be followed As per convention the FICCI and Assocham have formulated certain guidlines for the benefit of their members and this is generally followed by them You can check it out with the local trade body with whom u are associated.These associations issue monthly/quarterly price index which is used for calculation of DA etc.
