I was working with a pvt sector bank for 3 years ( 2002-2005) after which i left and joined some other company/companies.
PF was being deducted in the bank but not in other company. Now i have left that job ( unemployed for almost 6 mths now) and want to withdraw my PF from the bank. I have the following queries :
1. Will I get 100% PF withdrawal or
2. tax will be deducted

if the pf has been contributed by your previous employer to the PF maintained by EPFO then the amount withdrawn from the same will be exempt from tax.

i spoke to the bank official...they are saying that if the services were less than 5 yrs with them then tax deduction is
applicable.... is it possible
