If you are carried any professional activity or business activity then u will liable to pay professipnal tax.
It is dependant on state of india.
If u pay salary to workers still you will liable to professional tax.
It is dependant on state of india.

You have to enroll the firm for profession tax and pay Rs 2500 anually. If you have employees then enroll them and pay their profession tax also as per their salary
