14 June 2010 Dear All,

ours pvt ltd co, we are not registered under professional tax, but we are deducting the professional tax for our employees for past 4 Months,
so pls clarify me we hav to deduct or what to do

14 June 2010 Professional Tax is a leavy imposed by State Government on persons, companies etc who are engaged in any profession.
You have to take registration for
(1) your Company
(2) Registration for your employees who are working with you.Professional Tax deducted from salary to be deposited under said Registration.
(3)More over your company Directors also require to pay Professional Tax under their own professional Tax Registration Number.
