20 May 2013 Can a Professional become diretor of a company without shareholding and what are the provisions applicable to it.

20 May 2013 Any person wether professional or not can stand for directorship in any GM of a public co. He is only required to give a 14 days notice along with a fees of Rs 500 which shall be refunded in case he gets elected.
But all these provisions do not apply on private company. For more read section 257.
