Dear All,
I want to file income tax return for assessment year 2010-11 & 2011-12. The time limit for filling the return is expired. i got a notice from IT department why i was not file my IT return for this assessment year. i also not aware about the fact that whether i have req to file the return or not so plz guide me if i want to file Tax return for above assessment year...what procedure should have to followed.

Please contact any nearest CA. Because of Some answers and solutions shall be possible only depending on the facts of the assessee and their transactions etc... So for this required a lot of information and such requirement may be increase based on the answers and facts of the assessee.
So my strictly suggestion is better to contact any nearest CA with the notice from IT department.

Based on the words "I want to" i understand you are the assessee.
Then if possible can you mail me the scanned copy of the notice to my mail ID: sairam_tirumala@rediffmail.com
Because of there is different reason to issue notice, depending on the notice content i will suggest you the reasons and requirements to deal such case and complete it.
If not possible to send mail then please post here i will get an alternative.
