Yes. the private Company can invest in any other body Corporate provided it is authorised by Articles.

Agree with expert. It is possible for a private co.
Further section 372A regulating inter-corporate deposits is not applicable to a private company.
Simply pass a board resolution u/s 292 to finish the transaction. Also insert the same in board minutes.
