I yet to go for articleship trainig ;Do i need to take prior approval from the institute to pursue MBA?

You required to send form 112(permission from ICAI letter) along with articleship registration forms(form 103).
If at present you not undergoing of articleship training(means at the time of admission to MBA you not pursuing articleship training) you need not to get prior permission from ICAI, in case at the time of articleship registration you pursuing any other course along with CA then required to send form 112 and 103 both at time.
In case at the time of registration to articleship you not doing any other course then required to send only form 103 at the time of articleship registration.
In case after registration to articleship you want to pursue another course along with CA then required to send form 112 to get prior permission from ICAI for do such course.
So in your case till now you didn't started your articleship training but you want to pursue MBA, so now you not requried to send form 112 but you required to send it along with form 103(assuming you shall continue your MBA at the time of registration to articleship).
