Can anyone please tell me how many years tds tds refund we can take i a single year return......
I mean can i take the refund of tds which is deducted in the ay2008-09,2009-10....... In the return of income for the ay2010-11.......

04 February 2011 Question is confusing, TDS refund is given by the IT department after taking its own sweet time, there is no point of the assessee taking or not taking it.

the more Facts are:
1- Mr. A had not filled in ITR for the AY2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11....
2- His TDS for the AY2008-09, 2009-10 below Rs. 5000 in each Year...
3- If he file his ITR for the AY2008-09, 2009-10 then there is the Penalty of Rs. 5000 for Delay filing...

Now my question is ca Mr. A Clain the TDS for the AY2008-09, 2009-10 in is ITR for the AY2010-11

05 February 2011 If Mr A is not filing return for the year , the Deptt. may raise the demand any time whether you file the return or not.

In this case you are only allowed to claim TDs credit on the income which has been taken in return.

05 February 2011 You can file return for A.Y. 2009-10 and 2010-11 by claiming respective TDS only.
