Previous Auditor Not Giving NOC

19 March 2010 We are appointed as auditor of prop. business concern, when we contacted the previous auditor for getting NOC, he refused to give in writing. We had sent the letter through speed post, which is also returned.Now what we do?

22 March 2010 You need not to worry. You have done your part of act. What all you have to do is keep POD of letter despatched, but you said that he has returned the letter.
Then now you can send an Email to him requesting him to give NOC and if not given in reasonable time, if would be considered that the previous auditor has no problem if we accept the assignment and conduct the audit.
