What will be the fate of premature surrendered value of a pension plan taken from an insurance company. Also please tell us what is the tax implications on a single premum policies will the maturities will become taxfree or not.

I want to know if i surrender a pension plan of insurance company would i have to take the whole amount in my income or its tax free.
