09 March 2012 a company has got manufacturing unit and corporate HO in Bangalore. They want to open branch sales office in Mumbai, Maharashtra. While branch transfer, the excise will be paid in Bangalore say on Rs 100 which comes to Rs 10. After getting transferred it is to be sold from the branch sales depot at Rs 150. Now, again excise on Rs 50 is to be paid to the department which is Rs 5.
My question is, whether this excise on the differential amount can be paid in Bangalore itself under the registration what they have over there or the sales office has to make a seperate excise registration in Mumbai; the business volume being very less.

09 March 2012 If discount is given, Gujarat VAT should be charged on net off amount or gross? If net off which kind of discount is allowed?

Generally, VAT is charged after giving cash/trade discount,i.e. the net amount.
