Permission from icai for starting coahing classes

21 January 2014 I am a member of ICAI but not holding COP. I have left my job and am planning to start my own coaching classes for Commerce and CA students on full time basis. Kindly let me know if i need to seek the Institutes approval for doing so. Also Do i need to apply for COP for the same?

22 January 2014 Dear Sayee,

1. No you are not required to apply for COP to start coaching center.

2. Given that you are not a COP holder, you don't need any permission from ICAI.
