Pending refund for ay 2011-12.

27 July 2019 I have income tax refund for A Y 2011-12 and submitted physical returns in March, 2014 after I came to know that excess tax was deducted and paid to department, it can be claimed by filling returns. I have been expecting the refund amount for last four years and sent several emails to the department, visited income tax office in Kondapur, Hyderabad but could not identified where it is pending and whom to meet for the same.
Recently I came to know that e nivaran is one of the channel to reach Income Tax Department to raise concerns and queries. I have raised grievance through e-nivaran.

They have closed with the following comments : The return was filed on 19.03.2014 which is beyond the time limit and it is a lodged return it can not be processed.

Is there any chances to get refund by submitting an application for con-donation of delay in filing returns claiming refund under section 119(2)(b) of the Income-tax Act to Pr.CIT/CIT now.

Please suggest how to approach.

28 July 2019 There is a chance, and depends on the reasons for the belated return.

28 July 2019 Thanks for your reply Sir. Can I submit application for condonation of delay in filling returns claiming refund through online in the IT site ex. grievance in e-nivaran portal. If i need to submit physical application.. to whom its submitted how to get the PCIT details. Please help.

27 September 2021 As on 28.07.2019, you had missed the chance to file ITR for AY 2011-12; u/s. 119(2)(b); as the time period to file the request under the section is SIX years.
