01 February 2012 Sir, we have received the above notice on 26.04.2006 for an amount of Rs.76415/-.

Matter is this sir, I have deposited this
amount but some where deposited challan is
misplaced. Without challan we cannot get out
payment.

we want to know from your side when we deposited this challan and what is challan no. or how we can received our payment

04 February 2012 You can be able to get payment details from these sources
1. Check your 26 AS via online portal of income tax department. (If you have not registered yet, you can get registered now)
2. You might have debited same in your books of accounts. So get the date of payment (if narration is posted with all details in books of accounts in you may also get name and branch of bank) and try at Branch of Bank where you have paid said amount with date of payment. On your request Bank Manager will issue letter with details of payment.
3. You can meet ITO and explain the problem. ITO may help you by checking payment through online system which is provided to them.
