Dear Members,
I want to that is there any penalty i have to pay if i import any item let say telescope for personal use from USA?
As i have ordered a telescope from USA and lying in Delhi custom clearance station..And now they are asking for penalty as i have ordered for persoanl use...

THE TELESCOPE IS NOT PERSONAL ITEM AS PER ANEXTURE 1-IV ITEMS OF BEGGAGE RULES 1998 OF CUSTOM.U ARE LIABLE FOR PENALTY U/S 111 OF CUSTOM ACT.
