Penalty for late filling of service tax return

31 December 2013 Dear All,
We have filed service tax return for Oct-March,2013 on 30/11/2013 without being paid any penalty for late filling of Service tax. But Now We want to pay this penalty. Whether we are supposed to pay Penalty upto 30/11/2013 or till the date of payment of penalty?

Now that your delay in payment of penalty is more than 30 days therefore the amount of penalty that you will have to pay is as below:
1,000 + 18900 (100*189)= 19,900

The penalty will be paid till the time of filing of return.

Yes, We have filled ST-3 late by 81 days(30 days (10-09-2013 to 09-10-2013) and 51 days (10-10-2013 to 30-11-2013).

So, We are liable to pay penalty as follows:

1000 + 5100 (100*51) = 6100.

if any wrong then kindly suggest me.

Your oct-March,13 Return Due date is 10th Sepember

you filled st-3 late by 80 days (30 days 11-09-2013 to 10-10-2013) and 50 days 11-102013 to 30-11-2013)

so, you are liable to pay penalty is

1000+5000 (100*50) = 6000
